More about John Louis Home closet systems:
More storage, better organization, higher quality, and a simplified buying decision is what John Louis provides. If there ever was a "closet in a box" this is it! No more confusion about what you purchase and how to configure it. Elegance, style, and quality are at your fingertips. The John Louis closet system is unique because of its ventilated design, but mostly because it's constructed of 100% solid wood that's kiln-dried and finished to block moisture intake and prevent warping. You only need to purchase one system because it's versatile enough to fit any of your closet dimensions. When installed, the John Louis product delivers a custom closet look. All of this is available in one box at a "Do It Yourself" price.
The product installation has been simplified with easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions and nearly parallels a Ready-to-Assemble format. If you can use a hammer, screwdriver, handsaw, level, and a tape measure, then you can do this. Installation can be accomplished, start to finish, in about 90 minutes!
Five easy steps for selection and installation
1. Measure your closet for length (wall-to-wall), width (wall-to-door opening) and height (floor-to-ceiling). All closet organizers will need to be cut to size.
2. Select your closet design style and finish (when applicable).
3. Remove existing closet fixtures, repair walls if necessary, and paint walls prior to the installation of the new organizer.
4. Measure and mark the location of hanging brackets and hooks. Secure to wall.
5. Cut shelves if necessary to size. Install for completion.
If your closet is less than 10 feet long, it's easy to make the proper trim cuts to fit shorter lengths. Simply measure the width for your closet and trim the shelves and hanging bars accordingly with a power saw. This will allow you to customize the system to your specific dimensions. It is best to position the vertical hanging rails on wall studs for maximum support per the instructions. Tools needed: hammer, screwdriver, handsaw, level, and tape measure.

I bought 2 kits for our master bedroom walk in closet. Our closet is big so I added a bookshelf to the end of it and stretched the closet organizer to almost 12 feet! We now have plenty of storage and have made good use of a large space that was wasted before installing this closet organizer. It looks great and was easy to install. I can not believe the quality of the product for the price we paid!

Comments about John Louis Home Standard Closet System in Maple or Mahogany:
Great looking and great quality, especially for the money I spend. I am very happy with finished product. I did have to order extra hardware, only because I was transforming a 10'x 12' room into a dressing room/closet and did not have a wall to mount one end system. I ended up ordering the curved angle bracket to support the other end. The main thing you have to know about this is you need to have a little handy man knowledge because the instructions are not real easy to understand. It took my husband about 10-12 hours to install it (he is an A/C man) not a carpenter.

Overall the unit looks great and is really good quality. The cost is fantastic and my wife loves the finished product. The directions however need some work as they make it entirely too difficult to figure out.

I actually love the way this is looking. Just arrived two days ago and husband has almost finished installing it. I would say that this is a box of building materials to be used to create the closet that fits your space. Looks great, I love it, but this is not what I consider to be an easy installation.

Comments about John Louis Home Standard Closet System in Maple or Mahogany:
Installed these (so far) in our spare rooms and love the look. They are extremely sturdy. We plan to do more in other areas (linen closets, etc.) in the future.
A little tricky on installation (not problems, just, like others said, be sure to measure twice), but, well worth the effort!
Service and delivery comments:
As ALWAYS - love Hayneedle. Packages arrived super quick & all was well.
